COVID-19 Response – Level 1

It brings me great relief and pleasure to announce the downgrading of restrictions by the Dental Board of Australia, approved by the National Cabinet yesterday afternoon.
We have been approved to move to Level 1 restrictions as of the 8th of May, which was yesterday.
What this means for YOU is that we will continue to screen patients over the phone and will only treat patients who do not meet the social or clinical risk factors of COVID-19. But standard procedures, including cleans and regular fillings will become available.
If you have been in contact with a confirmed case, been on international or interstate travel, been on a cruise ship or worked in a healthcare environment where you have been exposed to a confirmed case, please stay home.
If you are sick, have a sore throat, a fever over 38oC, are coughing or have shortness of breath, DO NOT COME TO YOUR APPOINTMENT, we will waive cancellation fees for patients who develop these symptoms and need to cancel.
If you display any of these symptoms when I see you for your appointment, unfortunately I will have to immediately reschedule your appointment for the safety of my staff and the other patients at Tailored Teeth.
The social distancing policies and infection control guidelines we have adopted in the practice, such as pre-procedural mouthrinse, hand sanitiser for patients, social distancing in our waiting room free of magazines and shared materials will stand.
Australia, as a country, has been one of the best in their handling of the COVID-19 pandemic. I pray that you all remain healthy and positive, stay safe and continue make the decisions that have led us to the point we are now, winding back restrictions and starting to rebuild.
